The Attorney

Ashley Elizabeth Jakowczuk was born in North Carolina but spent several years of youth residing in many of the eastern coastal states. She was a cheerleader throughout high school and graduated a North Carolina Scholar in 1988.

After taking a break to start a family, Ashley returned to college at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she received her Bachelor Degree in 2003, graduating Summa Cum Laude and earning membership in 4 different academic honor societies. Additionally, she served as Secretary of the Beta Sigma chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society at UNCC.

Following the completion of three semesters of Masters education at UNCC, Ashley decided to make a dramatic change to her career path. She and her family relocated to Gainesville, Florida in 2005 so she could pursue a legal education at the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law, where she graduated in May of 2009. Ashley was admitted to the Florida Bar on April 20, 2010. She is also an adjunct professor at Santa Fe College, where she teaches Professional Technical Writing in the HSA and SOM Bachelor Programs.

As a hobby, Ashley plays the violin. She learned to sew at a very young age under the instruction of her grandmother, and once owned a custom bridal and pageant wear sewing company in North Carolina. She has a son, Taylor, 20, who is an Airman in the United States Navy, and also a daughter, Tiffany, 19, who attends UF on a full Air Force ROTC scholarship. Her husband, Sandro, is a horologist and is the owner of A&S Services, a high-end Watch Repair company at They have been very happily married for 19 years, and attend Gainesville Church of God.

The initial consultation is always free of charge. I feel it is very important to really get to know you and your legal concerns in as much detail as possible before deciding if my firm can best meet your needs. In order to accomplish this, I never charge clients for their first visit.
